For weight.

Clean and Jerk

1 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1

You can use power clean or squat clean and you can use push jerk or split jerk. The bottom line is it is the same amount of work.

On a side note, I noticed a small decrease in numbers this morning. Don't fall into the trap of not coming in or else all of your work will be for nothing. You won't have the option of sleeping in once you are in the "real" Army, so don't start bad habits.

Additionally, we have also had a sharp decrease in posting. Again, do not let your ego get in the way of posting. Sometimes your workouts are strong and sometimes not but the posting serves as an online journal from which you can measure your performance. Measuring increased work capacity is one of the key elements of the CrossFit program. Bottom line, post your numbers.

Enough of my ranting.

Worked on Jerks afterwards. The clean is absolutely my limiting factor on these. I often just overthink it. Probably need some good O-lifting coaching.

I understand that some of your grades are hurting and that is why the limited participation in the morning. I agree that grades are extremely important and you do not want them to drop...at all. So keep studying hard, get those grades up and get back with us. Also remember that working out releases endorphins that will allow you to maintain your attention longer and give you more energy so taking the time as some point in the day to workout could increase your ability to hit the books. Just a thought.

Spent a lot of time working on the split jerk afterwards, and I'm a believer that if you can get the split down (and trust yourself), you can increase the weight. One of the many things to work on...

Wimped out and overslept, so did Cindy this afternoon. 12 rounds, with assisted pullups. Used less assistance though, so improving slowly.
