10:02. Smoked. For the afternoon guys: Make sure that you are getting the full hip extension on the platform after the jump. The tendency is to get off the box before bringing the hips through. It will probably feel slower but you will be doing more work.
Ditto on what CV said. Remember that everything we do is based on full range of motion and core to extremity work. You can get that full extention two ways. One is stand up fully on the box, the other is to violently jump up and off of the box and extend on the way down. Either is okay but just make sure you open those hips up.
nice, quick workout. The queso, wings, taquitos, and A&W started to come up a few times on the box jumps, but alas, no new decorations for the gym floor today.
Lesson learned this morning points back to CV's comment above...I didn't get full hip extension on the first two sets of box jumps so my time isn't legit...yes, I cheated. Anyways, I'm tracking now so look forward to the next box jump workout.
Changed the WOD a little bit. Did the following with a 20# vest: 25 x Box jumps 30 x Pull ups 30 x Push ups 30 x Squats 50 x Box jumps 30 x Pull ups 30 x Push ups 30 x Squats 25 x Box jumps
Time was 14:56, I was hurting by the end... Good "Murph" prep though.

I pulled 10:00 flat out of...somewhere.
Not sure if the chair I used was 2 feet (prob. not), so I tried to make up for the height by jumping higher than I needed and having real good form.
my watch magically disappeared this afternoon so i used the clock on my ipod, came through between 10 and 11 minutes. good workout
