Two things before the WOD....

First, the PX is restocked with some Bally jump ropes so get them while you can.  Your double unders will improve if you use your own rope and use it consistently.

Second, if you are coming for the morning crew, please get there at 0530, help get the room straight and start to warm up so we can get to the WOD.

Now the WOD...

AMRAP 20
5 handstand push-ups
10 kettlebell swings (53/35)
20 double unders

9 rds + 5 x HSPU

I sub'ed 10 x GHD situps for the double unders and was able to do all HSPU on the wall unbroken.

12 rounds + 5 HSPU +10 KBS + 14 DUs

The first three rounds were as Rx'd and then I switched to blue bands for the HSPU to keep intensity up.

Good group in there this morning. I appreciate you all adjusting fire and working well with all the other traffic in the room.

Did the first five rounds without assistance, and then moved to the blue-blue combo on bands.

Great to have all the jump ropes flying around in there today!

...i forgot to admit that I scaled HSPU with the bands after 4 rounds.

KBS were as Rx'd though

Something to consider...

I would have slowed down a lot without moving to the bands, but even the blue/blue combo gave plenty of assistance. Might have been better for the workout if I have bumped HSPU to 8 per round once I moved to the bands.

used bands for HSPU and scaled down on the kb swings after 7 rounds

12 rds + 2 HSPU using 70# KB.

HSPUs got really tough around round 6. Had to incorporate the chest to wall technique to make it up on the wall.

*had to cheat on HSPU starting on round 6...did them w/ my feet hooked on the smith machine bar.

Awesome WOD. Double unders are becoming one of my favorites...hand stand push-ups are not...
