CrossFit Friday on a Thursday

Team, due to our modified schedule and early start on Friday, we will be doing our CrossFit Friday WOD on Thursday.  Wanna see what it is?  Drum roll please....

"G.I. Jane"
100 burpee pull-ups for time

Ideally the pull-up bar is 1' above your reach when you stand with your arms extended overhead.  The idea is that you get a good jump and a full pull-up rather than grabbing the bad and doing a jumping pull-up.

I used the bars in Hayes which were about 6 inches above my reach.

Used the "middle" bar on our pull-up rig in the '62 room. I think it was about 6-8" above my reach.

Smoker!

Tex we missed you again this morning. Must have been hansing out with Sodak who was also part of the "not showing up" club.

Bounced back and forth between the middle and low bar on the '62 room pull-up rig. Legs, arms, and hands are beat after that one.

23:18. Sounds pretty slow for Pauly, however, when you consider that I pinched an 80lb dumbbell between my legs for the wod, it's not too bad, right? GTL baby.

15:55. Used the middle bar throughout, which is probably about 8" above my reach.

That was definitely a smoker.

Used the middle bar in 62 room. Maintained a 10 burpee every 90 seconds average. Got tough at the end to keep that pace.

Did it after practice down at gillis... that bar is always a smidge further than I think it is going to be... called out. Awesome.

I ran around askin people to do this wo with me and nothing... So i slowly walk over to the bar and find a plebe distance runner and ask him if he will do the wod with me... he agrees.. thinks a second.. then says.. "Hey what are burpee pull ups anyways?"
guess we'll work on that pause reflect thing later.

JWM- I wish I could said that I was the fastest in the 11:00 crew, but Chris rocked this and had to have smoked me by a solid 45 seconds. COL Byers was bringing it too. She finished right behind me. CME smoked this one today.

Scaled this to a 15 minute AMRAP and ended up with 86. Right after I finished, I wished I would have done the WOD as rx'd.
