Are you all going to be doing power or squat cleans? Thanks.

Matt, either is acceptable. I will probably be doing a combination of both.

I vote for squat cleans.

Ouch! The squat cleans make a big difference there. Was rough getting momentum in the run after the clean and jerk portion.

Awesome effort out there this morning and big props to Scotty who left me out of site again!

14:10 w/ 85 lbs. power clean & jerk.

My form was garbage and I used too much muscle and not enough technique.

13:55 at 95 lbs squat cleans

Wanted to bump up to 115, but scaled down after committing to squat cleans.

With a really, really light bar. But a bar nevertheless! I'm working back into it.

Aloha,

I had a choice to go "heavier" with power cleans or scale to do squat cleans. Because of the jerk, I opted to go 135 power cleans.

115# squat cleans
1000m bike

I'm having trouble transitioning my grip from the front squat shoulder rack position (elbows high) to the jerk position. I'm open to suggestions / tips...

I didn't know about the squat vs power clean discussion. I did power cleans with 95 lbs
