Expect to see the CF Room open Thursday Afternoon. They will be laying the rubber flooring tomorrow. The Sorinex BaseFit racks arrive tomorrow. Those will be installed on Wednesday. Thursday will probably be moving equipment in. I have offered up the services of the B&G CF nation, but the Arvin facility workers have insisted that they can handle the load. If something comes up, I will let everyone know. I may be calling on the masses Thursday as well to do a quick load test on the pull-up bars. They are going to be sick. Google "flying fran" to get an idea of what we are talking about.
Snatch is definitely one of my goats:65, 75, 95, 105, 115, 115I had especially bad form on the last two sets. I need to work on my flexibility in the overehead squat position. Thanks to Chris V. for teaching me the correct way. As soon as I put the bar overhead though, I lose my form...
Started off too heavy and quickly maxed out. Went back down to starting weight to practice form. What a huge group this morning.95, 105, 125(f), 95, 95I am so pumped for Thursday afternoon.
Phenominal group this morning. Keep getting the word out. Once the new facility is opened we will have even more ability to train those kinds of numbers. Maxed out today at 135. I am not sure if I could have gone any heavier. I was really focused on form and wanted to really work the points of performance. This is a great example of a lift that you have to practice. Form is really the determining factor here for most people.
My new super goat. A few monumental dumping incidents...Thanks to the great coaching from MAJ Borovicka, it's all about the deep squat-overhead catch.75, 85, 95, 115, 115(F), 95
135, 155, 165, 175, 180(fx2), 175(f)I barely got the 175 the last rep. Couldn't get it any higher.
I failed today at 135. My problem is clearly form because 125 was pretty doable.
95 for all sets. Really worked on form. Thanks MAJ Blackmon for helping with the technique. Even though I don't like to get up in the morning it really paid off so that I could get help for this complex lift.
Made 135# but form was awful. Missed at 145#To echo what MAJ B. said, great group this morning. Can't wait for the gym to open so we have an even better space for it.
Worked on form for a while and ended up knocking it out with 95#, thanks to Maj B, Chris and Ashley S for form tips
Decided I needed to hurt myself today in a different way, so knocked out sets of 18" box jumps, med ball throws, and kettlebell swings, starting with 15 each and working down to 1. 22:17. This is one that will bring on pukie.
65, 85, 95, 105, 115, 125 (f), 125 (f)...Definitely a goat to work on.
Definitely a goat for me, though made some strides regarding form thanks to RW. 65, 65, 65, 95, 95, 95, 95
No confidence in myself on this one...thanks Greg for the help with my form this morning...55 65 75 85 95 105(f) 100
105lbs (PR) increased by 20lbs Need to work on just having the confidence to get under the weight in a deep squat.
